LION ROCK MINERALS - CAMEROON
Arguably the most exciting discovery of high-value mineral sands and critical minerals in recent times, globally. Recognition of a potentially world-class, new rutile province by Placer in 2023 during Prospectivity Review motivated the pegging of additional tenure and listing of this incredible asset on the ASX. Broad scale reconnaissance has discovered extensive rutile mineralisation, zircon, monazite, gold and uranium and more is anticipated as LRM capitalises on its First-Mover status, introducing modern and systematic exploration to Cameroon with strong local and national government support.
ELEPHANT RESOURCES PTY LTD - SRI LANKA
The Atha Deposit is one of the world's highest-grade, free-dig surface mineral accumulations and currently stands at a a substantial 3.8mt of contained HM from limited, surface drilling. Substantial resource extensions are anticipated at depth and to the north through the additional ~12km of active tenure. Process test work is complete and mining licence application has begun. Due to favourable deposit characteristics and high-grades, spectacular returns are anticipated from very low impact mining and processing.
CAPITAL METALS PLC - SRI LANKA
The Taprobane Project is another high-grade, free-dig surface mineral accumulation pending developed. Substantial resource extensions have been delivered confirming Placer's expectations of additional, older beach barrier systems at depth. This is an exciting project on the cusp of FID and mine development.
MUKANIPPIE PROJECT - GAWLER CRATON
The high HM (Heavy Mineral) grade and broad intercept widths place the Marmota Muckanippie titanium mineral sands project amongst the most significant new discoveries globally within an emerging titanium-rich province in South Australia.
KASIYA ELUVIAL RUTILE - MALAWI
Placer and Sovereign Metals Limited are justifiably excited by the discovery and resource development in progress in central Malawi. As expected, Kasiya has now eclipsed all other deposits as stands alone as the largest and highest-quality Rutile deposit on the planet. CP assistance is on-going.
LUCKY BAY GARNET - WA
The Placer team joined Australian Garnet PL in early 2013 and remains integrated for resource discovery and development of a (now) substantial mineral resource inventory. Mine reconciliation and on-boarding MinRes is on-going.
SIGATOKA IRONSAND - FIJI
Placer has completed our third resource estimation programme for Dome Gold Mines Limited on their Fijian Ironsand and Civil Sand project. Bonanza grades were intersected in the Club Masa dunes as expected, which augers well for a small footprint, high grade operation. Assistance provides by Placer includes:
BRIGHTSPARK GRAPHITE - WA
Situated in the SW of WA, this project is now pushing ahead into product development and off-take agreement after successful bulk sample collection and drilling. Loupe EM surveys demonstrates there is substantia scale remaining to be defined.
