Richard is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and a Geologist with 23 years of industry experience. Richard specialises in detrital minerals and has some Gold and Base Metals experience. Richard was part of the Senior Leadership Team at a major Mineral Sands mining house before founding Hornet Drilling and Geological Services PL in 2013 and Placer Consulting PL in 2020. Richard is a passionate explorer and a Competent Person for the reporting of detrital mineral resources.
Gavin is a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and a Geologist with 24 years of industry experience. Gavin specialises in detrital minerals and has some Gold and Base Metals experience. Gavin has held senior roles for a number of major Mineral Sands mining houses and multi-commodity consultancies. Gavin is a dedicated exponent of quality data and resource estimation and a Competent Person for the reporting of detrital mineral resources.
Jessy Balan
Project Geologist
Jessy is already familiar with our systems and techniques, having worked under our supervision as a Project Geologist on the alluvial gold and rutile project in Kelantan Province, Malaysia during 2019 - 2020. Jessy has proven to be a very hard-working and capable Geologist, ready to assist Placer with technical report writing/peer review and other remote tasks from her home in Borneo, Malaysia.

For the most complex Geographic Information System and Cartography requirements, Placer relies on Duncan for prompt and accurate advice and assistance. Duncan has over 20 years' experience in major mining houses and is principal consultant for Scott GIS Services. Duncan is an expert user of ArcGIS and QGIS and plays off a handicap of 8.

Michelle has 20 years of bookkeeping experience and has worked as an integral member of an accounting firm before commencing her own business MB Premium Bookkeeping. Michelle has guided us expertly through the tax and business stimulation changes and remains focused on delivering value for Placer.
